"Up" Zips (Apr'07)

As you know, we track DataQuick's weekly real estate sales summary for:
Not included with these weekly summaries are DQ's underlying y-o-y results for each zip
code. While the top-line summary data is very useful, studying the results by zip code can be even more
useful.
We originally planned to present this data in percentage terms. (i.e., the portion of
a county's zip codes showing y-o-y price gains and y-o-y unit sales gains). Surprisingly,
DataQuick frequently changes the number of zip codes for San Mateo and Santa Cruz Counties.
Since it seemed unlikely zip codes with
positive price or volume results would be omitted by DQ on a given week, we decided the raw number of "up" zip codes was actualy
quite sufficient for our purposes.
Enough with the background, let's look at the charts!
(Blue lines are zip codes whose y-o-y price change is positive.
Pink lines indicate zip codes where y-o-y unit sales are greater than zero.)
